Welcome to my on-line gallery of Fine Art prints.  I am a photographer based in Wigston, Leicestershire and although by profession I specialise in photographing weddings my love is for landscape & natural history. ( If you want to see some of my Natural History photographs follow the link to my Wedding Photography web site below.).      You will see that a high proportion of the landscapes contained in this gallery were photographed in the Lake District and feature such well known places as Windermere, Coniston, Rydal Water, Grassmere, Ullswater, Derwent Water, Brothers Water, Borrowdale, The Langdales and many others.  In addition to these you will also see landscapes from Scotland and the West Country as well as the odd one from other places e.g. the Yorkshire Dales, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland and of course my homeland of Leicestershire; I make no excuse for the occasional diversion into man made landscapes.         The  monochrome images were mostly photographed pre digitally using Kodak High Speed Infra-Red film - although being very difficult to use it's worth the effort because of the fascinating way that green foliage looks white with a lovely flare around the edges & blue skies look black  -  also it gives a wonderful strong grain & shows up textures so well		Square Format Image Gallery	Panoramic Format Image Gallery		Interspersed somewhat incongruently you will also find many of my pre-digital Creative images - what I now like to think of of as 80's Retro - these were all created by traditional wet darkroom techniques, such as e.g. solarisation, bas relief, posterisation & manual montage. Although the creation of such images can nowadays be made digitally  in hours rather than days the non digital images I feel  still have a subtle edge in aesthetic appeal.      The canvas prints are Gallery Quality and as such are produced to a very high standard; stretched over a wooden frame, and varnished for protection.  The Traditional Mounted  prints are printed on traditional photographic paper, best fit to 12" x 18" paper , window mounted & completed with a backing board to fit any standard sized 16"x22" photographic frame        As you select the prints that you want you can add them to your shopping cart with your payment being made on a Secure Pay Pay facility.  Immediately after placing your order you will receive a confirmation by email;  I will also inform you when dispatched & advise your delivery date.  If you have any queries or questions at any time please feel free to email.  I will use your personal details for the duration of your order only & not pester you afterwards with unsolicited emails or pass your personal details on to any third party.       I hope you enjoy your visit to my site and  my photographs.      Stuart Hewins DPAGB
