The Grand Union canal
near to Wanlip in Leicestershire photographed on a bright but very
cold & frosty November morning in 1996. The kind of morning where
as a photographer keeping your camera batteries and fingers warm are the
biggest problems you face. This composition is brought to life by the way
the small section of banking on the right hand side catches the light and
adds just that bit of warmth to the overall chilly blue & white toned
scene. Photographed on the classic Fujichrome Velvia 50 ASA slide film
using an Olympus OM2 with a Tamaron 70mm - 200mm lens.
