Photographed at Tarn Hows
in the Lake District one bright early morning in November 2006. This
dramatic image is all about the superb interplay of the backlighting on the
dry grasses which are framed by the heavy shadows from the conifer trunks;
proving that 'autumn colour' is not always about colourful leaves on trees.
The camera used was a Canon EOS 5D (12.6 megapixel) giving a
wealth ;of fine detail; especially attractive amongst the grasses. The computer
screen can never do justice to the beauty in this kind of image. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
