Tarn Hows in the Lake District
during the early morning on a bright November day in 2006. The trees
were at the peak of their autumn colour & this corner, at least, of the
tarn mirror calm. I took many photographs that morning, most of fairly
standard content but this one has become one of my favourites due to it being
that bit different. The one thing that really works is the way the
very cool tones of the small promontory with its two birches & rocks
in the foreground stand out so well against the very warm tones of the autumn
yellows & oranges of the background trees. The computer screen
cannot do justice to the fine detail. Photographed with my Canon 5D
(12,6 megapixel) in combination with a Canon IS USM 28mm - 135mm lens. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
