My back yard; Bradgate Park
just to the North of Leicester. Famous for it's old oaks which hearken
back to the time of Lady Jane Grey whose family estate it once was. Photographed
on Kodak High Speed Infra Red black & white film & using the characteristic
of the film to render fresh green foliage as white - it rather makes the
old oak look like a cherry tree in full blossom but a startling image. The
rest of the components of the image are natural - no digital jiggery pokery
- and a nice heavy grain to add to the impressionistic effect. Olympus
OM2 with a 24mm ultra wide angle lens. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
