An image captured in a neglected
corner of a field near Brampton Ash in Northamptonshire. I had
seen the field of poppies from the road which passes through the village
during the week & so armed with my camera went in search of them along
a footpath at the weekend. Although the poppies I could see from the
road looked good amongst the barley this image was taken at the corner of
the field where the daisies held sway. What really makes the image
is the way in which the foreground blends into the very out of focus &
impressionistic background creating a perfect foil to set off the flower
heads. Pre digital on Velvia 50ASA slide film using an Olympus OM2
in combination with a 70mm - 200mm lens. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
