A colourful image with lots
of impact due to the brightness & strong but simple shape of the flowers.
Once you have seen past the obvious delight of the flower you begin
to notice the other visually enjoyable features; the way the water beads
around the leaves, the iridescent green flashes in the leaf colour &
most of all the strong 'dragon fly' shape of the dark reflection of the flower
in the water. Pre digital & photographed in one of the greenhouses at Kew Gardens way back in 1989 on Fujichrome 50ASA slide film with an Olympus OM2 in combination with a 70mm - 200mm lens. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
