An unusual view
of the much photographed boat house on Rydal Water. A springtime rather
than an autumn image, it's springtime feel is really enhanced by the fringe
of young reed stems shooting up alongside the old dead ones in the foreground;
their upright lines being emphasised by the vertical format of the image.
The one aspect of this image which really brings it to life is the way that
the translucent quality of the water has been captured. A pre digital
image on Fujichrome Velvia 50ASA slide film with Canon 500N Iin combination
with a Canon 28mm - 105mm lens. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
