The first example
of my love affair with the use of 35mm Lithographic (Lith) film for achieving
creative effects in the darkroom. In this case the effect is posterisation.
Posterisation is where you reduce the tonal range to just a few specific
shades - in the case of this image white, light grey, dark grey & black.
An extra element was also added by introducing a natural sky to
replace the large area of white the posterisation effect inevitably reduced
it to. The photograph was taken at Leicester racecourse. Olympus

Traditional
prints are 'best fit' to 12"x18" photographic paper, window
mounted on ivory or white card as appropriate and completed with a
backing board.
The board is trimmed to fit
a standard 16"x22" photographic frame.
