A very different
view of this well known Lake District tarn to the one usually seen. The
lighting was fantastic but the icing on the cake was the rim of yellow larch
needles gathered around the edge of the tarn and seemingly reflecting the
light. I have been back to this spot many times in the autumn since
& never seen the same conditions again. Photographed in October 1999
& one of my all time favorite landscapes. Canon EOS 500N on Fujichrome
