Blea Tarn being in a very exposed and high location is rarely totally calm and tranquil but even with a slightly rippled surface there can be no doubting the serenity of the place. With the famous Langdale Pikes in the background and with the scatter of boulders which fringe it's shoreline completing the image it's an image which epitomises the magic of the Lake District.
