A single autumn
beech leaf set against a background of the light filtering through the branches
of the tree. A simply constructed composition but 'as simple as
possible' is usually a good rule of thumb where composition is concerned.
The leaf although now dead & about to become compost for a short
time takes on all the magic of a jewel. The small highlights on the
supporting twig are the icing on the cake. Pre digital image from the
early 1990's taken with one of my Olympus OM's using the 'long end' of a 70mm
- 200mm lens on colour slide film. Stuart Hewins DPAGB |
