Photographed at Rydal
Water in the Lake District at about 9am on an early November morning in 2007.
It was the start to one of those glorious sunny autumn days where the
mist hangs in a thick blanket over the lakes as dawn breaks and one feels
almost panic in the haste to get out & about before the mist lifts and
a breeze once again consigns the wonderful reflections to a photographers
dreams for the unforeseeable future. On this morning I was particularly
successful, so much so that Rydal Water was so blanketed in mist when I arrived
that photo's were temporarily out of the question. It wasn't long
however before my patience was rewarded and I managed to take several satisfying
atmospheric images; this particular one was the last, but one of my
favorites. For the technically minded it was takes with a Canon EOS 5D (12.6
megapixel) & a Canon USM IS 28mm - 135mm lens.
