Scafell is the highest mountain in England and it's snow dappled summit can be seen here with the early spring light playing on its grassy slopes in this photograph taken from the shoreline of Wastwater. A rather unusual angle but resulting in an image full of interesting shapes, subtle colour & texture without in any way detracting from the power of that imposing snow covered rock wall that is the summit.
